Here are some guidelines to enhance your class experience:
Equipment – Svaroopa® Yoga studios are fully-equipped with all the props you need. No need to bring mats – just yourself!
Be on time – Every class begins and ends with quiet time, and late arrivals can be disruptive to other students. On the occasion when you must arrive late, please enter as quietly as possible. If you can arrive a few minutes early, you will get even more from your class experience.
Eating – Practicing yoga on an empty stomach is preferable; on a full stomach is uncomfortable. It’s ideal to allow two hours between eating and the start of class. If this is impossible, we suggest eating a light snack.
Dress – Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing such as yoga or sweat pants. Dress in layers as studio temperatures vary.
Perfume – Please refrain from using fragrance of any kind – lotions, hair spray, aftershave products – because they can trigger allergic reactions in others.
Cell phones – should be turned off before class.
Attendance – Kindly let the teacher know if you won’t be in class the following week.
Health – It’s important to keep your teacher updated re. changes in your health.
Observing these suggestions creates an environment of mutual respect and creates a nurturing atmosphere where everyone can enjoy classes in comfort.
Contraindications – If you’ve had an organ transplant, you may not participate in a Svaroopa® Yoga class. Also, there are restrictions for pregnant women.
Namaste, Jane
